Drone Flight Calculator (droneflightcalc.com, operated by webuildstuff.io) provides free flight-planning calculators and educational content. We do not require accounts, we do not ask for personal identification, and we do not sell personal data.
The calculator inputs you enter (drone specs, weather values, altitude, payload) are processed in your browser to produce results and are not stored on our servers or associated with you. There are two exceptions, both involving location data sent to Open-Meteo. First, the current-location weather feature: when you use it, your latitude and longitude are sent to our weather API, which caches the result for five minutes and forwards the exact coordinates to Open-Meteo to fetch conditions for that location. Weather accuracy depends on the precise location, so the coordinates are not rounded before forwarding. The original request (with the coordinates you provided) appears in standard infrastructure logs alongside your IP address. Second, route elevation lookups: when you plot a route, your browser sends the route coordinates directly to Open-Meteo's elevation API (these requests do not pass through our servers), so Open-Meteo receives those coordinates together with your IP address. Like most websites, our infrastructure logs standard technical request data (IP address, user agent, requested URL) for security, rate limiting, and abuse prevention.
We use a small number of cookies and browser-storage entries for site functionality (for example, remembering your unit preferences and theme). Third parties described below may also set cookies when you visit. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings; blocking them may affect some convenience features but the calculators will still work.
We use privacy-aware analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) and Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage — which pages are visited, roughly where visitors are located, and how the site performs. This data is used in aggregate and is not used to identify you personally.
This site is supported in part by advertising. We use Google AdSense to display ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies (such as the DoubleClick DART cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
Where required by law (including the EU/EEA and UK under the GDPR), a consent mechanism governs the setting of advertising cookies before personalized ads are served. Non-personalized ads may still be shown depending on your choices and local requirements.

Technical logs are retained for a limited period and are protected in transit via HTTPS. The site is served through Cloudflare with security headers, rate limiting, and abuse protection enabled.
